You know what really grinds my gears?

When journal articles stick their Methods section at the end of the paper, and jump right from the Introduction into the Results. Because then they have to give this weird half-assed explanation of their methodology at the beginning at every Results subsection so I know what they fuck they were doing. There's no point. If you don't want to clutter up the beginning pages with lengthy protocols, then just give a brief overview and stick the drawn-out methods in the Supplementary section.
