Which is fun and a kind of delightfully cartoonish version of the creation myth. In the past few years we've taken to adding the "Independence" episode of the HBO John Adams mini-series to it. Which, I think, has a bit less singing and a bit more veracity and awareness as to the troubled and borderline-reckless founding of our country, the first colony to split away from its mother.
Then we'll go out to the ballpark and take in a game and watch the fireworks afterwards, weather permitting. What do you do, GTers? Traditions? Habits?
