TW: Jian Ghomeshi's "Q" Show Hosts a Debate About Rape Culture

And it goes about as well as you'd expect. Here's a great article outlining why this was a terrible idea.

Ghomeshi followed it up with a"Your Letters"segment.

To clarify, Canada's Imaginary Boyfriendâ„¢ Jian Ghomeshi isn't necessarily the focus of the ire. He might have been able to step in a little more often to mediate Heather Macdonald's insane arguments, but otherwise the issue is mainly with Macdonald and not Ghomeshi.

That said, there are some people who think it was irresponsible of him to host this issue as a "debate" as though an argument that promotes slut-shaming and the idea that women should never, ever get drunk in public or behave irresponsibly is valid, but otherwise, again, it's the debate between the two guests that's catching heat.

Frankly I think that to open the floor to a "debate" where someone who feels that "rape culture" is an imaginary concept just helps to highlight how wrong and disgusting that position is, but I can also see the argument against having it at all.
