Job Woes: Put Me Out Of My Misery

So I've been at my job (entry level marketing/communications) a little over a year now, and I'm EXHAUSTED from boredom. I do MAYBE an hour of work on a good day, all mind-numbing administrative tasks. I ask for more, and I get another 20-minute data-entry project. When I DO get challenging and meaningful projects, I've gotten nothing but good feedback, so unless they're lying, I don't think it's a performance issue. I feel like an attention-starved toddler yelling "I'm smart! I can do things!" This is my first job out of college…is this normal? Am I just not trying hard enough?
