YES!! She did it. Mina peed on the vet tech!

That's my girl.

And it's a good thing she did because that was how they got their sample to test. Apparently she is being a jerk and holding it.

No results yet though. Vet wants to hold her overnight to get a "real" urine sample and do some blood work.

So last night Mina started acting strange. She was crying out and I couldn't find her. I finally found her in the guest bathroom, where she never goes, peeing on one of the bathmats. She looked embarassed and ran off but then I noticed that she wasn't quite sitting down anywhere. She was hovering on the couch like it hurt to sit or something and the other cats were sniffing where she had been and I realized she was leaving pee spots everywhere.

So I take her to the vet this morning and the new* receptionist asks "Do you have an appointment?" I explain that she just starting showing symptoms last night and the receptionist says "We don't see anyone without an appointment?"

WTF IS THAT?! How can I make an appointment at 8 pm at night? Am I supposed to take my pet to the emergency vet for a non-emergency?

So then I get the "Well we'll do it THIS time.." AND I HATE THAT SO MUCH. I said I would just take Mina to her prior vet (she hasn't seen this one yet. I changed because this one is so close to our house) but she just talked over me and then took the carrier back and I left.

Edited to add: I just went to their site and saw this:

"We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarian will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionist will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen."
