So... coding is AWESOME...[UPDATE: I FIXED MY TEXT LINK PROBLEM]

So I've been trained in a bunch of communications skills, and none of them was HTML. Or CSS.

I have had to administer a couple of websites, and use a website builder (either Jimdo or Wix) to get it done. I then relied on my graphic design skills to make these sites look pretty without any knowledge of HTML or CSS. This is no longer working, because on mobile, all those text links that are really png images (so I could have pretty headings and multicoloured links) look like SHIIIIITTEEE.

SO I thought I had found an alternative with Typecast, but unfortunately we'd have to pay not only for the Typecast service but ALSO to use any pretty fonts (non profit - not gonna happen). Problem is, I'd already promised my boss I could fix the problem like TODAY. I went looking for workarounds, again, and found a link to Code Academy.

I HAVE BEEN HOOKED ALL DAY. And I'm already 99% of the way to getting the prettified text links I wanted (still working out how to use CSS style sheets within the website builder). It's been the most fun day at work I've had for a looooonnnnngggg time. Including the babies' Christmas Party.

I am home right now continuing my day's work.

ETA: It just occured to me it's Friday night....
