*Nope, not for me. No uterus for me until SCIENCE works out those kinks.
I have a friend in a fandom forum that tried to start a conversation about this. She essentially got spammed to hell, and a mod had to wipe the thread. And one comment was especially misogynistic. The only other person who said anything on topic was me about the fact that I'd heard good things about them, and remarked how difficult it was to pass this information around in spaces dominated by men, such as this particular fandom forum. We both feel that there are women in the community who want to discuss issues like this but are intimidated by the spam from the menz. I was the only other woman in the thread, and of course, the topic doesn't actually apply to me.
I have super duper modly powers in another area of this community, and before I was assigned modly powers in that area, this same friend was essentially driven out of that area for being told she had "sand in [her] vagina" any time she wanted to have a serious discussion and not a stupid argument. Coaxing her back now that I have taken the reigns is probably an impossible task.
So, I want to write a big huge massive post on menstrual cups as a giant sign of support to her and giant flaming middle finger made of feminine hygiene products to the assholes who derailed her thread in the first place.
I can haz halp?
