...in an online dating profile, and making her hot. I'm sure this has been done before, but this Cracked author made the worst person on Earth, and used (with permission) her model friend's pictures. Hilarity (and head-desking) ensued. It is ASTOUNDING and hilarious, what these guys willfully disregarded, in order to try to sleep with this fictional woman.

The author tried her HARDEST to scare guys off - saying things that make her a huge asshole (like pretending to be pregnant to fuck with men and get what she wants out of them, including getting out of mandatory community service), saying things that basically expose her as an evil she-devil that intends on ruining these guys' lives (like, for instance, threatening to pull out their teeth), delving into complete and utter nonsense and STILL people trying to coerce her into sex - as she throws out non-sequiturs, they continue to ask her prying sex questions and to get her to meet up with them.

Guys even call her "sweet." She continues to get onslaughts of messages.

She ends the article by telling men that they are better than this. Many are (obviously). But I cannot help but think - this woman, who is clearly unhinged and threatening to do lots of life-ruining things MRAs think women do, is still getting attention. Anything to put your dick in a hot piece, right, assholes? She could get sex and money and even marriage (were she real), and be a total piece of shit, and the conclusion, after things fall to pieces, would be that All Women Are Total Pieces Of Shit.

The author's more cynical conclusion, which she sort of abandons, is the one that I stick with:

For example, I could extrapolate from my data that men have been so deeply socialized to value women solely on their appearance that many of them seem unable to take any other aspect of who she is, such as intelligence or capacity for self-reflection or suffocating douchiness, into account.

_____

I want to add a little footnote, here, that I do not by any means think that all men are like this, that men are too stupid to function (like TV would have you believe), or anything. But I do think men (and women) are conditioned to value appearance above all else and this catastrophically awful social experiment shows that quite nicely, albeit in a very extreme way.
