This is not a good night for GTers. Man, this is a rough one.

ETA: Ok, so, minor in the grand scheme of things (certainly not comparable to all the other shit going on tonight), but my back door just slammed open. I have never in my life moved as fast as I did in shoulder-charging it shut and slamming the lock home.

Turns out it was the wind, but a) I didn't realize it was that windy (or that it was even possible for the wind to push open that door considering how heavy the thing is), and b) I didn't realize that apparently my back door has been unlocked for weeks. I'm still shaking a little bit, even though logically I know there's nothing wrong. Although to be fair, right now anyone attempting to burglarize my apartment would need to make their way through the cardboard recycling minefield in front of that door, so I'd have a few-second advantage there. On the other hand, my lack of pants probably negates that advantage unless I'm using my boxer-briefs with holes in them to wage some kind of psychological warfare on an intruder (which might be an effective tactic, honestly).
