For those of you in forever-ish relationships, when did you decide that you were going to commit your life to that person(s)? How old were you when you met, or when you made the decision? Did you get married/will you one day?

It was always an unquestioned assumption for me that I wouldn't get married/settle down until I was at least 30. I planned to spend my 20's single, footloose and fancy-free. Then NightDude and I fell in love at 23. It was immediately, smack-in-the-face obvious that what we had was a Big Deal (I called my mom after our second date and told her that this was the most important thing that had ever happened to me, which sounds dramatic/slightly pathetic but just felt self-evidently, indisputably true).

Three years later, our relationship just gets more amazing. We've lived together for 2.5 years (yes, we moved quickly), we have a dog, and we're planning a life together. 95% of the time, this is amazing. But every now and then I have a brief panic attack: we're still so young! This isn't the life trajectory that I'd planned!

Obviously I know that you can't plan your life, that these things just happen, blah blah. But I'm still curious to hear how these things have worked out for you all! Plus, I really like hearing others' stories of lurrrrrvvvvvv.
