Do you think there's ever an acceptable reason to (TW: self harm)

wait for it, wait for it...

...kill yourself? Do you think there's ever a time when it's not just some kind of senseless tragedy? And I'm not talking about something like, "my boyfriend dumped me and I want to die now." I'm talking about when someone can take a step back from their own life and realize that it's just... broken? Like, their dreams are shot, there's legitimately nothing in their life worth living for, and existence is kind of a ponderous torture?

Does there exist a level of existential, emotional torment where we can say that it simply outweighs the so-called sanctity of life and that person deserves to be allowed to end their own existence?
