Alright, GTers. We're 3 episodes in to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (I missed the past 2 weeks due to work and had them on the DVR. I'm on the second episode at the moment. DVR FTW)....Let's discuss this, shall we?

I dunno, guys. I mean.... I'm really trying with this show. I love all of the Marvel superhero movies, and the Avengers was just awesome. When I heard this show was coming, I got really excited. Especially because of Coulson.

But this show makes me sad. I feel embarrassed for it. It's campy, for sure. Every episode so far consists of one super special effect, some small reference back to an Avenger which never gets brought up again but is most likely just to pique interest, and some comment along the lines of "after New York." And no explanation as to how Coulson just magically got brought back to life after what happened in the Avengers? Come on, guys!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., I Really Wanted To Like You.

Super well-equipped, baddass, intelligent SHIELD in the Avengers, and the Agents of SHIELD all seem to be a ragtag team of amateurs. It just seems a little weird. I kinda feel like Whedon should just stick to movies after this...

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., I Really Wanted To Like You.

It's just a TV show, I know. But I'm just so disappointed in this show so far! :-( I expected so much better... I might be deleting it from my scheduled recordings and just never watch any more episodes in the future...
